Frye Regional Medical Center in North Carolina seeks a Surgical Technologist specializing in robotic and bariatric surgery to support the OR team with sterile technique and instrument handling.

The role requires advanced proficiency in da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery, knowledge of bariatric procedures, and the ability to anticipate surgeon needs to ensure safe, efficient patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification for Surgical Technology by the NBSTSA (or equivalent) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Competent in at least 3 specialty areas.
• Experience with robotic and bariatric procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for a variety of procedures.
• Scrub and assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies.
• Assist with da Vinci robotic setup, docking, and turnover.
• Ensure readiness of bariatric instrumentation and equipment.
• Adhere to HIPAA and infection prevention policies; participate in quality initiatives.
