Job summary

Edison Smart in New York, NY seeks a Perception Engineer to own how robots see, detect objects, verify states, and pick up items accurately. You will design 2D/3D vision for manipulation, build segmentation and pose pipelines, and own camera calibration to ensure system accuracy.

You will integrate vision outputs with motion planning alongside the robotics team. Requirements include 5+ years deploying vision on real robots or automation, hands-on with cameras and lighting, and strong Python/C++

Qualifications

• 5+ years deploying vision on real robots or automation.
• Production Python and C++.
• Hands-on with 2D/3D cameras, lenses and lighting.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy 2D and 3D vision systems for manipulation and inspection.
• Build detection, segmentation and pose estimation pipelines.
• Own camera calibration and accuracy across the system.
• Feed vision into motion planning and grasping with the robotics team.
