Sigmadzn in Redmond, WA is looking for a Robot Technician to operate and control robotic systems using various human-machine interfaces. We offer competitive compensation ranging from $29.54 to $38.26 an hour, with a full range up to $46.99 an hour based on experience, internal equity, and career progression. Swing shift qualifies for a $1 shift differential. The Robot Technician is responsible for controlling robotic systems in real-time using various human-machine interfaces (HMI), such as VR headsets, joysticks, handheld controllers, and other input devices. In addition to performing teleoperation tasks, this role helps establish, document, and enforce operational procedures to ensure consistency, safety, and quality across teleoperation activities. This role bridges the gap between physical hardware and interactive control, executing precise robotic movements for testing, demonstrations, and deployment.
Standard lab/production environment. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
