AUTIS seeks a Robot Technician to lead on-site installation and commissioning of robotic systems in Ferndale, Michigan, with travel across North America to support projects and customers. The role includes providing technical assistance, documentation, and integration with customer teams.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering or computer science and hands-on experience with major robot platforms, PLCs, and vision systems, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in robot programming and commissioning (KUKA, ABB, FANUC, YASKAWA, Kawasaki, etc.).
• Availability to travel within North America for support and installations.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and international partners.
• Interest in learning about PLC programming and related disciplines.

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly qualified Robot Technician with expertise in robot programming and commissioning within the automotive sector to join our team in Ferndale, Michigan. The ideal candidate will play a key role in commissioning and supporting local projects, ensuring the proper implementation, ongoing support, and development of our products.

Key Responsibilities

• On-Site Installations and Projects: Travel to customer facilities in North America to participate in commissioning activities for robot projects.
• Customer Support and Assistance: Travel to customer facilities in North America to offer onsite support for robot projects, provision of remote support to customers as necessary.
• Sales Support: Collaborate with the local sales team by providing technical expertise during customer meetings, presentations, and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in robot programming and commissioning (KUKA, ABB, FANUC, YASKAWA, KAWASAKI, etc.)
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to travel within North America for support and installations.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and international partners.
• Interest in learning about other disciplines related to our projects (PLC programming, Vision systems, etc.)
• Experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, SIEMENS) would be welcomed.
