Job summary

Trucking People is seeking a hands-on Robot Service Technician to assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair its growing fleet of autonomous delivery robots in Flagstaff, Arizona, on a full-time contract basis. The role emphasizes mechanical and electrical skills, field service, and travel between local sites.

You’ll work with sensors (LiDAR, cameras, ultrasonic) and electronic modules, perform routine maintenance, and assist with prototyping and inventory for R&D projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive service, dealership repair, manufacturing, or similar environments.
• Experience using mechanical and electrical tools and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings.
• Strong computer skills and troubleshooting approach.
• Attention to detail and dependable, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record in the past 12 months.
• Comfort working in field settings and traveling between local sites. No CDL required.
• Soldering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, and electronic modules.
• Install and replace sensors, including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on self-driving robots.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, including battery and suspension problems.
• Investigate breakdowns, complete repairs, and test equipment.
• Travel between local locations to provide onsite support.
• Support prototyping, inventory management, and R&D projects.
