Job summary

Trucking People in Lakeland, FL is seeking a hands-on Robot Service Technician to assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a growing fleet of self-driving delivery robots. This in-person, contract role offers roughly 30+ hours per week at $25-$28 per hour, with travel between local sites for onsite support.

The ideal candidate has automotive service experience, proficiency with mechanical and electrical tools, and the ability to read 2D drawings.

Qualifications

Experience as a technician in automotive service or manufacturing.
Proficient with mechanical and electrical tools and measuring equipment.
Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with good communication.
Able to lift and move items over 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license; clean driving record.
No CDL required.
Soldering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assemble wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, and electronic modules.
Install and replace sensors, including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on self-driving delivery robots.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, including battery and suspension problems.
Investigate breakdowns and incidents, complete repairs, and test equipment.
Travel between local locations to provide onsite support.
Support prototyping, inventory management, and research and development projects.
