Robot Service Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and versatile Robot Service Technician to support the production, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of self-driving delivery robots.
This role is ideal for a technician with experience in automotive, manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical environments who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and working across a variety of technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Assembly
- Assemble harnesses, cables, connectors, and electronic components.
- Install, replace, and test sensors including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors.
- Assemble and disassemble mechanical and electrical components.
Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of autonomous delivery robots.
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns and investigate technical incidents.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, including suspension systems and batteries.
- Execute service campaigns and corrective maintenance activities.
Field & Technical Support
- Travel between local sites to provide onsite technical support.
- Support rapid prototyping, testing, and product improvements.
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and equipment.
- Assist with testing and troubleshooting in field environments.
Research & Development
- Support R&D experiments and technical projects.
- Assist with testing new components, systems, and prototypes.
- Provide hands‑on feedback to support product development.
Required Qualifications
- Previous technician experience in automotive, manufacturing, robotics, electronics, or a related field.
- Experience using mechanical and electrical tools and measuring equipment.
- Ability to assemble and disassemble products and install electronic modules.
- Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to learn technical software and systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past 12 months.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing 50+ pounds.
- Comfortable working in field environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an automotive plant, dealership service department, or similar environment.
- Soldering experience.
- Experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles, electronics, or specialized equipment.
