Join to apply for the Robot Operator (Night Shift) role at NOV.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and pre-set all necessary equipment and tooling needed for coating operations, performing safety checks before use.
- Load and unload parts onto engine latches for coating operations.
- Set guards and stops to accommodate various plunger sizes.
- Load powder into Spray Hopper according to drawing specifications and discuss any errors with supervisor.
- Verify setup meets quality standards and parameters for spray equipment.
- Calculate and set machine controls to position spindles and regulate factors.
- Operate equipment independently, monitor displays, and detect malfunctions.
- Measure parts for conformance to blueprints.
- Operate equipment manually for non-automated functions and adjust controls as needed.
- Record data for records and assist in solving plant operating problems.
- Help train other employees and ensure proper cleaning and containment of spills or leaks.
- Perform preventative maintenance and operate forklifts and lifting devices.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications include:
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and reading drawings.
- Basic math skills, knowledge of tool holders and cutting tools.
- Ability to operate forklifts and follow instructions.
- Welding experience is strongly preferred.
Physical requirements:
- Stand, handle objects, communicate, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required.
- Exposure to mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
