Tyson Foods in Robards, Kentucky, is hiring for entry-level general labor roles across our meat processing facility. The pay starts at $18.00 per hour, with a $1 per hour shift premium on 2nd shift and a perfect attendance incentive of $2 or more per hour where applicable.

Positions require standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 70 pounds, and ability to work in damp, cold or hot environments. All safety PPE is provided and background checks may apply.

The pay starts at $18.00 per hour or higher. Certain positions offer a perfect attendance incentive of $2 or more per hour. Additionally, 2nd shift positions include a $1 per hour shift premium.

Job Details

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Job duty summary

This position could work in any department of this meat processing facility. Standing, walking, bending, squatting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas and lifting up to 70 pounds for some positions. Must be willing to work in damp, cold or hot environments and humid environments and these areas have slippery walking surfaces. Be able to stand 8- 10 hours a day on hard surfaces. Able to perform repetitive motion. Must be able to climb up and down stairs to get to and from the work areas. Must wear PPE, frocks, gloves, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard. These positions may involve use of a knife and or scissors to bone out or trim pieces of product.
