Tyson Foods in Kentucky is seeking a forklift operator to load and unload products, move pallets, and maintain a safe work environment. The role requires operating a forklift in the Cutup Area, completing log sheets, and following Tyson policies. Training for certification and battery changes is provided.

Light to moderate physical tasks are expected, including lifting up to 70 pounds. Applicants should be currently employed at the facility or complex, with a willingness to transfer internally

• Perform various positions as required/assigned

Description

This position is responsible for providing operating forklift on a daily basis in the Cutup Area.

Tasks

This position is responsible for loading and unloading combos, skids, and moving product to necessary location. The position must be to obtain forklift license and able to change battery as needed (training will available). Must also be able to maneuver pallet jack around tables and belts, be able to continuously grip control handle of the jack, driver must be aware of all obstacles in all areas of travel, and any other duties assigned by Manager. This position is also required to complete various log sheets. This position will be exposed to possible cold temperatures, and wet conditions. This position will require walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis.

Requirements

Must have 3 months of work history with one employer listed on the application. Prefer 3 months of operator experience.

Location is not accepting rehires.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
