Job summary

Chimes District of Columbia is seeking a quality control professional to conduct inspections across multiple project sites and document findings. You will track corrective actions, verify implementation, and coach project teams to improve performance.

The role requires strong analytical skills, a sense of collaboration, and comfort with frequent travel. This on-site position supports facilities and custodial operations with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of quality control experience in custodial, facilities, or similar service environment.
• A valid driver’s license (held 3+ years) and comfort with frequent travel.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex contract requirements.
• Collaborative attitude with ability to influence without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled quality inspections across multiple project sites.
• Document findings, track corrective actions, and verify they are implemented.
• Coach project teams and influence improvements without formal supervision.
• Analyze inspection trends and escalate issues that require leadership attention.

Job description

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

What you'll do:

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled quality inspections across multiple project sites
• Document findings, track corrective actions, and verify they stick
• Coach and guide project teams — without needing direct supervisory authority to make an impact
• Analyze inspection trends and ESCALATE issues that need leadership attention
• Build strong relationships with customers, contracting officers, and site management

What you bring:

• 3–5 years of quality control experience in custodial, facilities, or a similar service environment
• A valid driver's license (held 3+ years) and comfort with frequent travel
• Sharp analytical skills and the confidence to read and apply complex contract requirements
• A collaborative, positive attitude — and genuine respect for the people you'll serve

Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
