Job summary

Chimes in Washington, DC is seeking a Custodian for a Monday–Friday 6:30am–11:00am shift. This part-time, on-site role involves general cleaning and maintenance to keep facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Under supervision, you will perform cleaning of offices, common areas, restrooms, and public spaces, handle trash, polish surfaces, and support event setup. The position emphasizes safety and adherence to contract requirements.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces
• Empty trash and replenish restroom supplies
• Clean windows, glass, mirrors, walls, elevators, and other building surfaces
• Spot clean carpets and perform floor care as needed
• Assist with furniture setup and breakdown for special events
• Remove snow and ice from walkways (when required)
• Safely use cleaning equipment and supplies
• Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards
• Follow all safety policies and contract requirements

Under the supervision of the Project Manager and on-site Supervisor, the Custodian performs general cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure that assigned facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. Secondary supervision is provided by the Contracts Administrator.
