This role involves growing GPD’s presence in Louisville and leading roadway/transportation projects as an experienced technical expert.

Role Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Kentucky PE license
• 10+ years’ experience in roadway/transportation industry
• Relationships in Louisville’s transportation sector (KYTC, Louisville DPW, DOMI)
• Knowledge of KYTC plan delivery, specifications, and contracts
• Experience with MPOs and local agencies (a plus)
• Proven ability to develop and oversee project scope, schedule, and budgets
• Mentoring experience for junior engineers
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation (Openroads)
• Excellent communication skills and team collaboration
• Leadership qualities and community engagement mindset

Key Responsibilities

• Manage roadway/transportation projects involving design, analysis, surveying, environmental assessments, zoning, permitting, and field services
• Provide technical oversight and ensure quality standards
• Develop client relationships, understand needs, and support proposal efforts
• Drive strategic growth aligned with company goals
• Mentor team members and foster their professional development
• Oversee project administration, including workflow, risk management, and quality assurance
