Job summary

Santa Fe County is seeking a detail-oriented professional to enforce the road cut ordinance and MUTCD standards. The role includes reviewing permits, coordinating with outside agencies, performing field inspections, and maintaining data logs for traffic devices across the county.

Responsibilities also cover collecting GPS data, assisting with regulatory updates, and ensuring safety protocols during field operations. A high school diploma and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus three years of related work experience.
• Obtain and maintain safety and work zone certifications within six months of hire.
• Valid New Mexico Class D driver’s license and ability to drive county vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and issues road work permits per MUTCD guidelines.
• Performs field inspections of road cuts and restoration work.
• Collects GPS data of traffic devices and inputs into work order system.
• Coordinates with agencies for permit issuance and regulatory updates.
• Maintains records and prepares reports on compliance and inspections.
