Description

Michael Baker International is seeking a highly motivated Roadway/Traffic Engineer to support our growing Roadway practice within Ohio, based in our Cincinnati, OH office. The ideal candidate will primarily be responsible for civil roadway design and analysis of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and traffic projects. You will leverage your engineering knowledge to prepare studies, construction documents, drawings, maps, reports, supporting documentation, and calculations.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with design, construction documents, plan production, maps, reports, and other supporting documentation.
2. Gather background information related to project sites, including reviewing as-built plans and mapping existing utilities.
3. Prepare drawings for highways, structures, and traffic projects.
4. Assist with quantities and project cost estimates.
5. Coordinate with design technicians to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
6. Prepare documents for regulatory agencies to obtain permits.
7. Assist in preparing for client and project meetings.
8. Participate in internal project meetings and site visits, reporting findings to Project Managers.
9. Communicate effectively with other disciplines.

Professional Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree is a plus.
2. Ohio and/or Kentucky P.E. license required.
3. 5-8+ years of highway design experience; traffic engineering experience is a plus.
4. Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
6. Ability to build relationships and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

The approximate salary range is $72,207 - $108,335 annually, depending on education, experience, and qualifications.
