Job summary

SafeFlow Traffic Solutions is hiring Flaggers / Traffic Control Technicians to support roadway construction, utility work, and emergency responses across North Carolina from our Raleigh base.

We seek reliable team players who can work outdoors in all weather, maintain safety for crews and the public, and communicate effectively with colleagues. Day, night, weekend shifts, and travel to various sites are possible with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Previous flagging or traffic control experience preferred, but not required.
• NC Flagger Certification preferred (training may be provided for qualified candidates)
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, and move traffic control equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented

Responsibilities

• Control traffic flow through construction and work zones using stop/slow paddles, flags, signs, and other traffic control devices
• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control equipment including cones, barricades, signs, and arrow boards
• Follow approved traffic control plans (TCPs) and company safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and the public
• Monitor work zones to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations
• Assist with lane closures, detours, and emergency traffic situations
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude on job sites
• Complete required documentation and reports as needed
