Job summary

Atlas is seeking Roadway Construction Inspectors in Duluth, Georgia, to support its Quality Management and Construction Inspection practice. You will perform inspections of roadway and structural construction, sample and test materials, and verify conformance to contract specifications.

The role requires reading plans, performing field measurements, and applying calculations for pay items. Night/weekend availability on large projects is often required, with a strong emphasis on safety and

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent combination in civil/transportation fields with related inspection experience.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and contract provisions with precision.
• Experience in highway construction inspection and materials testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent inspections of roadway and structural construction to ensure contract compliance.
• Inspect and test soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete for quality and mix.
• Evaluate pavement spreading, rolling, depth, alignment, and compaction.
• Inspect roadways and structures for conformance to plans and specs.
• Monitor foundations, culverts, piling, reinforcing steel, and concrete installations.
• Monitor traffic control and erosion control devices during construction.
• Perform complex calculations and field measurements for documentation and pay item verification.
• Maintain accurate and complete project documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
