Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy manual labor including standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs
• Experience in operating medium and heavy equipment (dump trucks, front-end loaders, graders, backhoe, tractor)
• CDL and DOT medical card possession and ability to maintain thereafter
• Safety shoes required
• Ability to work day or night shifts to support emergency operations

Responsibilities

• Emergency Operations: assist and support operations for clearing snow and ice from roadways, applying abrasives and chemicals
• Manual Labor: perform heavy manual tasks such as installing tire chains, plow blades, and debris removal
• Preventative Maintenance: perform preventative maintenance on equipment used to clear roadways
• Follow instructions accurately and work under varying weather conditions
• Support storm preparedness activities as assigned
