Qualifications

• Three years running asphalt pavers with highway or commercial paving teams or equivalent field experience.
• Understand asphalt layer thickness, material yield and joint quality.
• Able to time truck transitions and keep paving moving with the crew.

Responsibilities

• Operate the asphalt paver for roadway and site improvements.
• Maintain the required alignment and grade during pavement placement.
• Keep the asphalt mat uniform, paying attention to layer thickness and joint condition.
• Coordinate machine operation with the crew handling the screed.
• Manage haul-truck changeovers and synchronize paver movement with the rolling team to maintain production flow.
