Job summary

Hattiesburgms seeks a Crew Member in the Transportation & Engineering department, Traffic Maintenance division. The role pays $15.00/hour and involves assisting with roadway signage, installations, and traffic control.

You will help implement road closures, monitor safety, track supplies, and coordinate with other departments during events, with after-hours and weekend duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating hand tools including power drills, augers and post-hole diggers.
• Ability to navigate and operate a pull-behind trailer.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Professional interaction with supervisors, coworkers, employees and the public.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance, repair, appearance and installation of roadway signage, poles and markings.
• Implement road/lane closures for repairs, events and other situations.
• Ensure work is conducted safely and orderly.
• Track use and location of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain records of work performed and work orders.
• Coordinate with departments for traffic control at events.
• Be available for after-hours and weekend duties as needed.
