Job summary

RailPros invites qualified candidates to join our team as Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC). The RWIC will oversee on-track safety for activities on and around live railroad tracks, coordinate with dispatchers and engineers, and ensure daily safety briefings and compliant documentation are completed.

Ideal applicants hold a high school diploma or GED, possess at least two years of track/construction experience, and have CSX FCI On Track Worker and Operating Rules certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years track and/or construction experience.
• CSX FCI On Track Worker and Operating Rules certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide the required jobsite protection on each assignment, ensuring adherence to rules and clear radio communication with dispatchers and engineers.
• Perform daily job briefings with all personnel on the job site and ensure safety requirements are followed.
• Prepare and submit required electronic forms such as job set up forms, daily work reports, and invoices.
• Handle and place signs, derail and other tools and equipment weighing 15 to 90 pounds as needed.
• Actively participate in routine safety classes and training.
• Maintain clear communication with RWIC supervisors and managers about assignments and schedules.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
