Job summary

National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is seeking a Roadway Worker In Charge (RWIC) to support railroad flagging services for Class 1 Railroads, Regional Short Lines, Transit Systems, State DOTs, and related entities.

The role requires at least 2 years of Class 1 railroad or related experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Position is full-time and on-site in Lewiston, ME with substantial travel.

Qualifications

• Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

• Must be able to travel for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide jobsite coordination.
• Maintain clear communication with Dispatchers, Train Crews, and railroad personnel.
• Conduct thorough job briefings with all personnel on each site.
• Enforce railroad, state, and federal policies.
• Identify violations and resolve in accordance with applicable policies.
• Submit daily field reports detailing activities.
