Job summary

National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) seeks a Roadway Worker In Charge (RWIC) to support railroad flagging services for Class 1 Railroads, Regional Short Lines, Transit Systems, State DOTs, and related stakeholders.

The role requires high travel (50%–85%), strong field coordination, and adherence to safety regulations. Candidates should have at least 2 years of railroad-related experience and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with a Class 1 Railroad or related entities.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide jobsite coordination with dispatchers, crews, and contractors.
• Deliver clear briefings to all personnel on each job site.
• Enforce Railroad, State, and Federal Policies.
• Identify violations and resolve per applicable policies.
• Submit daily field reports detailing activities.
• Provide On-Track Safety per 49 CFR 214 for Class 1 Railroads and others.
