Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. seeks a Project Manager/Senior Roadway Design Engineer for our Memphis, TN location. You will lead transportation projects, manage scope, budget, and client communications, and ensure timely, quality deliverables.

Ideal candidates have a PE, 5 years of PM experience, and strong Excel/Microsoft Office skills, plus the ability to multitask and grow client relationships. TDOT and local program experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer registration is required.
• 5 years of project management/execution experience in transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Confirm project scope and requirements with the client and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage a project staffing plan and man-hour budgets.
• Lead project kickoff meetings and communicate scope, milestones, and budgets.
• Monitor schedule, manpower, and budgets; maintain profit variance within ±5%.
• Ensure project documentation is completed and stored properly.
• Interface with owners, clients, and architects; document important issues.
• Assist in business development with current client base and relationships.
• Oversee QA/QC plans and the Construction Administration process.
