Job summary

CME Associates seeks a Roadway Design Project Manager to lead design tasks and mentor junior staff, with opportunities on signature projects and growth within a transportation family.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in roadway design and related technical work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior staff on roadway design tasks.
• Coordinate with PMs to meet schedules and budgets.
• Prepare designs, presentations, details and construction documents.
• Prepare permit applications and submittal packages.
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, agencies and contractors.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and mentorship of junior staff while managing the completion of multiple roadway design tasks
• Coordination with Project Managers to meet schedule and budget requirements
• Opportunity to be mentored and ultimately take on responsibilities as a Project Manager
• Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details and construction documents.
• Preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction.
• Coordination with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors and other parties associated with the project.
• Development and adherence to project scope, schedules, and budgets.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• A minimum of 6 years experience in all technical aspects of roadway design
• Experience in people management or supervision
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer preferred
• PE Certification is preferred
• Detail-oriented individual with strong technical and organizational skills
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing and standard industry software.
• Works well in multidisciplinary team environments and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong oral presentation and written communication skills
