Job summary

HMB Professional Engineers, LLC is seeking a Roadway Design Project Manager in Lexington, KY with hybrid work options. The role involves leading senior and junior staff on signature roadway projects, coordinating with PMs to ensure schedules and budgets, and growing into project management responsibilities.

The candidate should have substantial roadway design experience, leadership skills, and proficiency with industry software; PE certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years experience in all technical aspects of roadway design.
• Experience in people management or supervision.
• PE Certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing and standard industry software.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior staff while managing multiple roadway design tasks.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to meet schedule and budget requirements.
• Opportunity to be mentored and ultimately take on responsibilities as a Project Manager.
• Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details and construction documents.
• Preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction.
• Coordination with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors and other parties associated with the project.
• Development and adherence to project scope, schedules, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
