Job Description

WSP is seeking to grow its Transportation team and is currently searching for a Civil Project Manager, Assistant Vice President for our Indianapolis, IN office!

This Opportunity

Be involved in projects with our Civil Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. The position requires strong technical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be an enthusiastic and motivated person to lead small to large sized projects and serve as a key technical resource on all types of challenging transportation projects.

Your Impact

The Civil Engineering Project Manager will perform engineering design, analysis, task management, and project management duties on various transportation projects. Responsibilities include geometric studies, report writing, preliminary and final engineering, plan production, drainage design, construction staging, design and quantity calculations, cost estimates, and related tasks. Typical duties include:

• Managing project design and teams for quality delivery.
• Contract and financial management of projects.
• Mentoring engineering staff and collaborating within WSP USA.
• Supporting market sector growth through marketing, proposals, and business development.
• Fostering a professional environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Recruiting, retaining, and developing top industry talent.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years of professional experience
• PE registration in Indiana or ability to obtain within 6 months via reciprocity

Preferred Qualifications and Attributes

• Leadership and guidance of civil engineering staff
• Experience in project management and highway design
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience with INDOT and LPA projects
• Knowledge of AASHTO and INDOT standards
• Familiarity with MicroStation and InRoads
• Business development skills
• Strong engineering deliverables development
• Sound judgment in applying engineering techniques
• Experience in alternative delivery projects (a plus)
