WSP is currently initiating a search for a Roadway Project Engineer for our Charleston, SC office.

Your Impact

• Act as a designer on Roadway projects at all phases, from concept to construction.
• Provide technical support and Project Management on small medium to medium projects or tasks with opportunity to grow, including contract negotiation and managing to a scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support larger projects as a Deputy Project Manager, Task Manager, Segment Manager or discipline expert.
• Aid local offices pursuing or delivering transit projects with technical expertise, including opportunities to travel.
• Demonstrate your skills to the industry through conference presentations and paper publication.
• Assist in growing the business by building relationships, writing marketing proposals and providing other business development support.
• Management of technical staff.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
• P.E. License with 7 to 10 years of experience in Roadway projects or equivalent.
  • Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) experience a plus.
• Experience working with transit agencies and transportation department. Direct experience with MARTA and GDOT a plus.
• Demonstrated organizational and communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120) preferred.
• Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.
