NC Department of Transportation is seeking two Transportation Worker II (S) in the Duplin County Maintenance unit. The roles involve preventive maintenance, repair, and construction of state roads, with responsibility for operating multiple heavy machines and handling semi-skilled tasks.

Applicants must meet CDL requirements within 360 days and be prepared for emergency callbacks, night work, and variable hours. Safety footwear is required and pre-employment checks apply.

Formación

• Experience performing semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks such as hauling materials, pavement repair, and drainage work.
• Ability to operate common equipment including backhoe, dump truck, grader, and loader.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in extreme temperatures.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and repair state roads in Duplin County.
• Operate multiple pieces of equipment as assigned.
• Assist with traffic control, erosion control, and drainage tasks.
