Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Learner’s Permit at hire; must obtain CDL Group A with N or X endorsement within 12 months.
• CDL required at hire for 6, 7, E8 levels; must maintain air brake restrictions clear.
• No specific type or amount of experience required for 6; 1 year for 7; 2 years for E8 with progression.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state trunklines within the right-of-way for assigned area.
• Operate a vehicle or vehicle/trailer with GVWR of 26,001+ pounds for maintenance tasks.
• Travel with crews across assigned geographic areas; may be region-wide on temporary assignments.
