Job summary

MoDOT is seeking a maintenance worker for the Warrenton Maintenance Facility to perform routine highway and facilities upkeep under supervision. Responsibilities include pothole patching, traffic control, sign handling, and debris removal.

You will also repair signs and guardrails, clean curbs and gutters, operate vehicles for transport, and assist with winter operations when required. Advancement depends on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• CDL written exam passed before hire; tanker endorsement, Class B, EI/NI status; drive test after hire.
• Successful completion of a work simulation and medical-physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highways: fill joints/cracks, patch potholes, flag traffic, set up signs and traffic control devices.
• Maintain and repair state highway facilities: signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters, buildings and equipment.
• Operate vehicles to transport personnel/equipment and assist in winter operations as needed.
• Perform grounds work: mow, clear brush, load/unload materials, clean ditches and remove debris.
• May repair bridges/signs, install signs, and perform sign post work and related tasks.
