Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) in Hillsborough seeks a Transportation Worker IV to perform maintenance, repair, and occasional construction on state roads. You will operate several heavy machines and respond to emergencies as required.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and construction on state-maintained roads.
Operate multiple heavy equipment pieces as assigned.
Respond to emergencies, including traffic accidents and severe weather events.
Train and assist others in equipment operation as needed.
