Job summary

Minnesota State Colleges and Universities is seeking a Transportation Generalist at the Jackson Truck Station to support highway maintenance and snow/ice operations. The role requires a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, day shift, and a background in road maintenance.

Responsibilities include maintaining roadways, performing preventive equipment maintenance, and coordinating traffic control to protect workers and the public.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with tanker endorsement and no air brake restriction.
• Experience in snow/ice, soils, and road surface maintenance preferred.
• Working knowledge of English to read, write, speak and understand information.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and reconstructs roadways, shoulders, and related road surfaces.
• Performs preventive maintenance on highway equipment and operates tractors/mowers.
• Performs traffic control set-ups and ensures safety for workers and the public.
• Snow and ice operations including equipment checks, pre/post-storm cleanup, and inventory reporting.
