Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. in Hazleton, PA is seeking a General Laborer to support traffic control, roadway construction, pavement marking, sign installation, and other safety operations.

This role involves outdoor work and travel to project sites across the region, with a preference for candidates holding a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. You will operate hand and power tools, assist crews, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment while following OSHA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be willing to travel for project assignments for up to two consecutive weeks at a time, as business needs require.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check, DOT physical, and drug screen.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overtime, and overnight travel as needed.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Reliable transportation to and from designated reporting locations.
• Previous experience in construction, traffic control, utilities, or general labor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews with roadway construction, traffic control, pavement marking, sign installation, and other field operations.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize materials, equipment, and tools.
• Perform general labor duties including digging, lifting, sweeping, cleanup, and site preparation.
• Set up and remove temporary traffic control devices, including signs, cones, barricades, and drums.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as trained.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and work zone safety standards.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Work effectively as part of a team while supporting project deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
