Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a Construction Roadway Flagger to support safe and efficient work zone traffic flow. This role directs vehicles and equipment through active construction areas, sets up traffic control devices, and ensures crew and motorist safety.

Outdoor work in all weather, with extended hours based on project needs. You will join a team focused on safety and reliability, with competitive pay, paid weekly, and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in construction, traffic control, laborer, or related field.
• Traffic Control/Flagger Certification (ATSSA or NCDOT) preferred or willing to obtain.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work near moving traffic and heavy equipment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to safety.
• Valid NC Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control traffic using stop/slow paddles and hand signals
• Follow NCDOT traffic control plans and safety guidelines
• Set up and remove cones, signs, barricades, and other traffic control devices
• Monitor work zone safety and report hazards immediately
• Assist crew with basic labor tasks when needed
