Bell County is seeking qualified personnel to assist with roadway and right-of-way maintenance in Central Texas. Responsibilities include operating dump trucks, inspecting equipment, and setting up traffic control measures per TMUTCD.

A valid Texas CDL with Tanker Endorsements is required within 60 days, along with First Aid/CPR certification. The role demands basic computer skills, data entry into asset systems, and ability to respond to emergencies.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of related work experience is expected.
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with roadway and right-of-way maintenance tasks.
• Operates 6- and 12-yard dump trucks.
• Inspects and performs routine maintenance on equipment.
• Sets up and maintains traffic control signs and barricades per TMUTCD.
• Performs basic computer tasks including email and timekeeping.
• Enters data into roadway asset management system under supervision.
• Assists with emergency events such as floods or ice storms.
• Transports equipment, supplies, and materials in light to medium trucks.
• Complies with departmental and county safety standards.
• Communicates effectively with the public and staff.
• Attends meetings and trainings as required.
