Job summary

American Structurepoint’s Road Group is inviting students to join our Merrillville summer internship. You’ll contribute to roadway design calculations, plan production, and cost estimates while learning MicroStation OpenRoads Designer and related tools on real INDOT projects.

As a Civil Engineering student, you’ll gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to grow into a full-time role after graduation.

Qualifications

• Student majoring in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Transportation, Hydraulics, or a related program with a focus on Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

• Contribute to roadway design by working on design calculations, roadway layouts, drainage analysis, plan production, and quantity and cost estimates
• Gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling and work with tools like MicroStation/GEOPAK, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Get involved in a wide variety of projects- everything from roundabouts and urban streets to rural roads, drainage improvements, and large interstate projects
• Other duties as assigned
