Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an entry-level Roadway Engineer in Ft Lauderdale, FL. You will participate in developing conceptual to final road design, support environmental documentation, and prepare reports and permit materials. Training and mentorship are provided as part of the Emerge program, with exposure to MicroStation and OpenRoads/GeoPak tools.

The role requires a BS in Engineering with EI certification and offers a pathway to grow within a global engineering network across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field; EI certification required.
• 0–2 years in a related technical field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work in a team.
• Interest in training with MicroStation and design tools GeoPak, InRoads or OpenRoads.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development of conceptual, preliminary, and final engineering plan work by completing well-defined tasks.
• Supports development of alternative highway designs for environmental documents.
• Prepares materials for reports, permits, and presentations; drafts outlines and progress documents.

### **Job Description**## **Overview**AtkinsRéalis is seeking a **Roadway Engineer**to join our Roads & Highways Team. This is an **entry-level** position in **Ft Lauderdale, FL**.## **Your role*** Participates in the development of the conceptual, preliminary, and final engineering plan work by completing well-defined tasks.* Participates in supporting the development of alternative highway designs for public hearing materials as part of the environmental document preparation.* Prepares material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing rough outlines, and/or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations.* Assists with calculation of quantities for construction cost estimates.* Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.## **About you*** EDUCATION: B.S. in Engineering.
