Job summary

CKL ENGINEERS, LLC is seeking a Roadway Engineer for our Chicago office. You will work on regional transportation projects, providing design and field oversight with a focus on infrastructure solutions and construction management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering, E.I.T, and CAD software experience (MicroStation/GEOPAK/AutoCAD/Civil3D). 0–5 years’ experience and U.S. citizenship are required. This is a full-time, on-site position in Chicago with a hybrid-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field required.
• E.I.T required.
• Experience with CAD design software such as MicroStation/GEOPAK/AutoCAD/Civil3D.
• 0-5 years’ experience.
• U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Use manuals, guidance, standards, and engineering judgment to provide infrastructure solutions on regional surface transportation projects.
• Provide design and construction management services for clients and partner firms including on-site project representation/inspection throughout Chicago and/or Northern Illinois.
• Build upon relationships and foster new relationships; be flexible and a continuous learner.

ROADWAY ENGINEER

CKL is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about roadway design, construction, engineering, and entrepreneurship and who aspire to grow their career with our Design Group in our Chicago office.

CKL is a multi-disciplinary professional services firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, with offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Orlando, Florida. We provide infrastructure planning, engineering, and construction management services to a variety of public and private clients. CKL is looking for talented leaders to build upon our strengths and grow locally, regionally, and nationally.

On a daily basis, this individual will be asked to:

• Use manuals, guidance, standards, and engineering judgment to provide infrastructure solutions on regional surface transportation projects.
• Provide design and construction management services for clients and partner firms including on-site project representation/inspection throughout Chicago and/or Northern Illinois

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field required
• E.I.T required
• Knowledge and experience working with CAD Design software such as MicroStation/GEOPAK/AutoCAD/Civil3D
• 0-5 years’ experience
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Private and/or Public sector engineering experience
• Qualified applicants must pass background and substance abuse test
• Qualified applicants must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be an U.S. citizen
