Job summary

CKL ENGINEERS, LLC is seeking a Construction Inspector in Atlanta, GA to support transportation construction projects. You will work with project teams and clients to ensure contract compliance and deliver quality construction services.

The role requires CM experience, GDOT certification, and strong technical writing ability. We offer a hybrid workplace, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for growth with a nationally expanding firm.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CM experience.
• GDOT Certification.
• Comfortable and experienced with technical writing.
• Client references needed.
• GDOTQC/QA certifications preferred.
• EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Construction Inspector for select CM projects.
• Collaborate with staff internally and externally.
• Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and partners.
• Daily site duties including punctuality and professional presentation.
• Complete inspector daily and activity reports; document contractor activities.
• Attend construction weekly progress meetings.
• Understand RFIs, change orders and material submittals.
• Closeout project items and provide engineering solutions using standards.

CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR

EXPECTATION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

On a daily basis this individual will be asked to:

• Serve as a Construction Inspector for select Construction Management Projects. This includes:
  • Working in a collaborative manner with fellow staff internally and externally
  • Engaging and being open to learn and grow and be a lifelong learner
  • Being a strong communicator with staff, colleagues, clients, and partners
• Daily construction site duties:
  • Display CKL in a positive light showing comingdressed appropriately and punctual
  • Working with the resident engineer and project teamto fulfill all contract needs
  • Inspecting items asneededfor the project within the framework of our scope of services
  • Complete inspector daily reports, daily activity reports, record contractor activities in field books and within client construction software
  • Attend constructionweekly progress meetings
  • Understand all RFI's, change orders and material submittals
  • Complete project closeout items including
  • Usingmanuals, guidance, standards, and engineering judgment to provide construction engineering solutions on projects

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 yearsCM experience
• GDOT Certification
• Comfortable and experienced with technicalwriting
• Client references needed
• GDOTQC/QA certifications preferred
• E.I.T. preferred
