Job summary

Egis is seeking a Roadway EIT to join our Tennessee team. You will support design of freeways, interchanges, and roadways, performing calculations and helping develop plans, specs, and cost estimates. The role emphasizes collaboration with project engineers and the broader team, ensuring accuracy and quality across deliverables.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT certification required or to be obtained within 6 months.
• 1–4 years of roadway design experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with MicroStation is a plus.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing freeways, interchanges, roadways, streets, and intersections.
• Perform engineering calculations from preliminary to final design.
• Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates with the project team.
• Communicate clearly through drawings, documents, and verbal exchanges.
• Coordinate plan reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• May conduct site investigations and other related tasks.
• Assist project engineers and project managers as needed.
