Job summary

Egis Group in Tennessee seeks a Roadway EIT to support design of transportation infrastructure in the Knoxville area. The role involves assisting in freeway, interchange, and roadway design, along with producing plans, reports, and cost estimates.

The successful candidate will have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, EIT certification (or within 6 months), 1–4 years of roadway design experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification is required or will be obtained within 6 months.
• 1 to 4 years of roadway design experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experienced utilizing MicroStation a plus.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer a plus

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of engineering to assist in the design freeways, interchanges, roadways, streets, intersections, roundabouts, and other transportation-related infrastructure.
• Perform engineering calculations from preliminary to final design.
• Work with the project team to develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Methodical approach to problem solving and completing project requirements, while working as part of a team or independently.
• Clearly communicate through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange.
• Perform and coordinate plan reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• May conduct site investigations, as well as other responsibilities associated with this position.
