Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Transportation Designer to join our Civil team in Austin, TX. You will develop roadway design elements, perform modeling and design calculations, and coordinate drafting for diverse projects with state and local agencies.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidate should have a BS in Civil Engineering; EIT is preferred, with knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT (and desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred.
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Collect and assimilate data and perform modeling, analysis and design calculations.
• Draw design details under direction of others.
• Coordinate drafting of design elements and construction plans.
• Perform field or site visits as needed.
• Develop knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of software.
