Job summary

Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU) seeks a transportation engineering intern for our Omaha, NE office. You will gain practical experience in roadway design, work on real projects, and develop technical skills under experienced professionals.

This internship focuses on both design and analysis while contributing to meaningful client work. Ideal candidates are undergraduates or graduate students in transportation engineering, with strong software and math skills, and the ability to work well

Qualifications

Undergraduate (sophomore or higher) or graduate student in Transportation Engineering or related field.
Strong computer skills and proficiency with engineering software.
Solid mathematics skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Availability for a 3-month internship (approximately June through August)

Responsibilities

Assist in the design, analysis, and planning of engineering projects
Participate in fieldwork, data collection, and analysis
Collaborate with team members to develop solutions for clients and communities
Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and project documentation
Use industry software including AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads Designer
