Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers is seeking a Full-Time Civil Engineer to design and manage right of way and construction roadway plans for transportation projects. The role requires use of OpenRoads Designer, AASHTOWare, PCES, and ProjectWise, with strong communication to internal staff, local governments, consultants and FHWA.

You will prepare analyses, reports and recommendations, supervise assignments, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws and standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply civil engineering principles to roadway design and standard design knowledge.
• Experience designing right of way and construction roadway plans using modern software.
• Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders and prepare clear technical reports.
• Knowledge of VDOT standards, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
