Job summary

GHD is seeking a Transportation Roadway Engineer to design roadway infrastructure and support project delivery across the Central Region. The role involves roadway design plans, contract documents, cost estimates, and analyses while contributing to traffic, signal, lighting, and ITS projects.

A licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with at least five years of transportation experience is required. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation, strong communication, and time-management

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum of 5 years of transportation engineering experience.
Strong roadway design experience.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

Design transportation solutions and roadway engineering designs meeting project and regulatory requirements.
Support delivery of small- to medium-scale transportation projects with plans, specs, estimates, schedules, and documentation.
Perform engineering inspections to assess condition and identify improvements.
Apply engineering standards, specs, and industry best practices.
Build and maintain client relationships with key stakeholders.
Assist with proposals, bids, and tender responses with technical info and submissions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across roadway, traffic, and ITS disciplines.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and project delivery.
Support health and safety requirements and a safe work environment.
Pursue ongoing professional development and industry involvement.
