Job summary

Consor in Draper, Utah is seeking a seasoned roadway design professional to lead projects and deliver high-quality plans. You will prepare PS&E packages, develop alignments and typical sections, and ensure compliance with AASHTO/UDOT standards while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior staff, managing scope and budget, and delivering strong engineering outputs in a hybrid office-field setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in roadway/transportation design with construction plan set experience.
• Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and/or Autodesk Civil 3D; familiarity with InRoads/GEOPAK a plus.
• BS in Civil Engineering.
• PE (Utah) or ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
• Clear communicator who mentors junior staff in multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead/perform roadway design and prepare full PS&E packages for bid.
• Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and traffic control details.
• Apply AASHTO/UDOT standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct/oversee drainage and stormwater design components within roadway projects.
• Own scope, schedule, and budget; perform QA/QC reviews of design calculations and plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across structures, traffic, and environmental teams.
