Qualifications

• A bachelors or master's degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
• Ideal candidates would have at least two years of experience in transportation civil engineering related to roadway design
• Bentley OpenRoads Designer proficiency is essential
• AutoDesk Civil 3D proficiency is a plus
• VDOT experience preferred
• EIT preferred

Responsibilities

• Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and AutoDesk Civil 3D technology.
• Complete calculations using engineering formulas and solve problems.
• Prepare specifications and materials through research and catalogs for project items.
• Work to complete design details and plan sets.
• Perform field observations and data collection as directed by senior staff.
• Assist in preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior staff.
