Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III for their Transportation Design Group. Located in Charlottesville, VA, the candidate will be responsible for designing project portions, conducting field assessments, and communicating with clients and internal teams. The ideal applicant will have a degree in civil engineering and at least two years of roadway design experience. Knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads Designer and AutoDesk Civil 3D is critical. Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in transportation civil engineering related to roadway design.
• EIT preferred.
• VDOT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and AutoDesk Civil 3D technology.
• Complete calculations using engineering formulas to solve problems.
• Prepare specifications and materials based on research and catalogs.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Communicate with client staff and internal design team.
