RK&K is seeking Transportation Engineers in Lakeland or Tampa, Florida. The role focuses on design and analysis of roadways, plan development, and cost estimation within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

Candidates should have a BS in Civil Engineering and an E.I. license in Florida or be able to obtain within six months, with FDOT experience and ORD/FDOT Connect familiarity. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in roadway design.
• Working knowledge of basic roadway design principals.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Engineering Intern (E.I.) license in Florida or ability to obtain within six (6) months.
• Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) design experience.
• Open Roads Designer (ORD)/FDOT Connect experience.

Responsabilités

• Design and analysis of horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Prepare plan, profile, cross section, and detail sheets.
• Design temporary traffic control plans.
• Calculate quantities and prepare construction cost estimates.
• Support preparation of design documentation.
• Support preparation of specifications packages.
• Work with other disciplines on creative solutions to design challenges.
